Brexit your office 365 data

Moving your Office 365 data to the United Kingdom datacenter region

Leaving the EU will have a significant impact on UK data laws. Organisations operating in the UK with data hosted overseas, may need to relocate their data back to the UK.  If data residency/sovereignty is of high importance to your business, you will need to ensure that you are compliant.

Office 365 customers with data residency requirements who would like to have their core customer data moved to the UK datacenter region will need to request a move before 15 September 2017.

How does this affect me?

If your organisation has a requirement to store core customer data at rest within UK, please contact Cloudspark using the form below to request your data move. The deadline for requesting your move is 15 September 2017. All data moves will complete by 15 September 2019.

No action is required if you do not have data residency requirements or if you were previously notified of a data move completing. If you do not request to move your data, Microsoft may still move your customer data to the UK datacenter region as part of their optimisation procedures. In either case, Microsoft will respect the data residency commitments made in the Microsoft Online Services Terms.

Currently UK Office 365 data is stored in the following locations

Durham & London, UK
Netherlands
Ireland
United States

Industries effected by data residency regulations range from financial and legal institutions to defence and healthcare contractors.

Please complete the information below to the best of your knowledge. We will then contact you to discuss and confirm your data move.
