General FAQs

We’ll need your MAC Key to switch your broadband to CloudSpark. If you don’t have one yet, don’t worry. Just call your current broadband provider and ask them for one.
This is location dependent and in some parts of Norfolk and Suffolk this can be of concern. We will test your line/location and advise of expected speeds before proceeding with your order.

Standard broadband is capable of up to 18Mb download speed for ADSL2+ enabled exchanges and Fibre connections can reach 78Mb, however these are best case scenarios and other factors such as distance from your local BT exchange can affect the final speed.

If you have further questions please talk to us directly and we will be happy to provide further information and advice.

We strongly advise taking one of the routers we supply, unless you’re an experienced Internet user.

When you signup for CloudSpark broadband you can choose a wireless router. If you’d rather use your own, make sure you check it is compatible.

Whether you’re branching out, or just changing to a new location, we’ll help you move your IT and phone infrastructure. Trust CloudSpark to make your move quick, cost effective and hassle-free for you.

Yes, Annex M can be applied to most ADSL broadband connections, location dependent.

Annex M increases upstream bandwidth from up to 1.3Mb to 2.5Mb by reducing the downstream capacity. A vital element for businesses especially where upstream is key and particularly useful for improving the number of concurrent VoIP calls or fast completion of online back up routines, file transfers between sites and remote access to CCTV solutions. Annex M is available at £10 per month.

As standard, CloudSpark will respond to all broadband issues within 1 Business hour and most faults can be rectified within this time.

Enhanced Care offers a national priority service level for any customers needing extra peace of mind and it allows us to receive accelerated fault analysis from BT and our partners PlusNet. Enhanced care is available for an additional £8.50 per month.
